Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy and explains which cookies and tracking tools www.newenergyitaly.com (the “Website”) uses, for what purposes and how you can manage your choices, pursuant to art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) of 10 June 2021.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites send to your browser, where they are stored and sent back to the same website on your next visit. They may be set by the website you are visiting (“first-party”) or by other websites (“third-party”). “Tracking tools” also include similar technologies such as pixels and browser identifiers. The same rules apply to browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), which the Website uses only for the chat with the Energico virtual assistant and, on the selection test pages reserved for job candidates, to keep the answers until they are submitted: in the table in section 3 the “Name” column shows the type of each entry.
By purpose, they fall into:
- technical cookies, needed to run the Website or to provide a service you requested (e.g. remembering your choices): no consent is required;
- analytics cookies, which measure visits and browsing behaviour;
- marketing (profiling) cookies, used to show relevant ads and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Analytics and marketing cookies are installed only with your consent.
2. How we manage your consent
- On your first visit the Website shows a banner with three equally prominent options: “Accept all”, “Refuse” and “Customise”, which lets you enable individual categories.
- Closing the banner with the X or continuing to browse without choosing keeps the default settings: only necessary cookies remain active.
- Your choice is stored in the technical cookie
ne_consentfor 6 months; after that period, or if the cookie categories change, the banner is shown again. - You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page or the button at the bottom of this page.
- Before consent, no Google or Meta script is loaded and no data is sent to these providers: Google Consent Mode signals are set to “denied”. Withdrawal stops any further collection, removes the first-party cookies of the disabled categories and takes full effect when the next page loads; any third-party cookies can be deleted from your browser settings (section 5).
- Consent to marketing cookies also covers Meta’s Conversions API: when you submit a contact form, our servers report the request to Meta with the data described in the Privacy Policy (section 5). Without this consent nothing is sent.
- Consent to marketing cookies also covers the Google Ads tag, which measures how many contact requests come from our ads on Google: it remembers in a cookie the click on the ad you came from and, when you submit a contact form, tells Google that the request took place, together with the e-mail and phone number you entered in the form, in encrypted (hashed) form, to link the request to the ad click; the message is not disclosed (Privacy Policy, section 5). Without this consent the tag is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google Ads; you can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie preferences”.

Allow Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and show you relevant ads on other websites (Meta Pixel). If you submit a contact form, our servers report the request to Meta with your email, phone and name in encrypted (hashed) form, IP address and browser (Conversions API), to attribute it to the campaign you came from. They also allow Google to measure the effectiveness of our ads on Google and show you relevant ads (Google Ads tag): the tag remembers the click on the ad you came from and, if you submit a contact form, tells Google that the request took place, together with the email and phone number you entered in the form, in encrypted (hashed) form, to link the request to the ad click; the message is not disclosed. 4. Third-party services that do not set cookies
- Energico virtual assistant. The chat sets no cookies and loads nothing from external servers until you write a message. The messages you send reach our systems and Google’s Gemini language model, which generates the answers, as described in the Privacy Policy (section 5). Your browser only keeps the technical entries listed in section 3: the three for the conversation, which you can delete with the “Clear conversation” command in the chat, and the one that makes Energico introduce itself only once per visit, which is deleted automatically when you close the tab.
- Campaign parameters. If you reach the Website from an ad or a campaign link, the page address contains some parameters (e.g.
utm_source,utm_campaign,gclid). If you submit a contact form we attach them to the request, to know which campaign it comes from: they are not cookies, and we do not use cookies or other browser storage to attach them (Privacy Policy, sections 2 and 3). - External links. Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, social pages and the client and consultants portals open the providers’ own websites, which process data under their own policies. The Website does not embed third-party maps, videos or widgets and loads no resources from external servers before consent: fonts and videos are hosted on our servers and the office map is drawn directly in the page.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies, including those already stored, from your browser settings. Guides from the main vendors:
