About Us
A structured ESCo, since 2008 alongside energy producers
New Energy was founded in Abruzzo in 2008 and in 18 years has grown from a solar installer into a structured Energy Service Company: over 15,000 systems installed, three offices — San Giovanni Teatino, Treglio and Milan — and projects across Italy for businesses, public bodies, investors and families. We manage the whole cycle in-house, from consumption analysis to design, from installation to monitoring: a single partner accountable for the result.
What being an ESCo means
ESCo stands for Energy Service Company: a company that finances and delivers energy-efficiency measures — from plant upgrades to thermal insulation, from solar PV to storage — taking on the investment risk itself. New Energy is an ESCo accredited under the Italian Interministerial Decree of 28 December 2012 and certified UNI CEI 11352.
What changes everything is the remuneration model: the ESCo earns only by sharing the savings the measures generate on the bill. No savings, no earnings. With guaranteed-performance contracts the investment is repaid directly by the savings, reducing or eliminating the client’s upfront outlay.
For a business or a public body this means improving efficiency without tying up capital, with measurable savings targets and a partner contractually accountable for them. This is where the ESCo formula stops being a label and becomes a concrete advantage.
Leadership
Daniele Braccia — CEO and technical director
New Energy is led by Daniele Braccia, vice-president for Central-Southern Italy of Federesco, the Italian national federation of ESCos, and since 2021 president for the energy transition at Confartigianato Imprese Chieti L’Aquila. As Federesco vice-president, in December 2024 he took part in the meeting with Italy’s Minister of the Environment and Energy Security on the national ESCo registry and energy-efficiency funds.
In July 2026 Il Sole 24 Ore interviewed him on the energy transition of Italian businesses: energy is no longer a cost to endure but a strategic lever to make predictable and governable, and energy independence is the most concrete answer to market crises.
The same approach is at the heart of his book «Transizione Logica» (“Logical Transition”), written for those who want to tackle the energy transition starting from knowledge rather than promises.
