Full-electric or hybrid heat pump: which should I choose? +

A full-electric unit fully replaces the boiler and is the ideal choice alongside solar PV; a hybrid pairs a heat pump with a condensing boiler and suits poorly insulated buildings or high-temperature radiators. The choice depends on the envelope, emitters and consumption: we define it during the free survey.

Do heat pumps work in very low temperatures? +

Yes: modern heat pumps keep good performance even below freezing. Correct sizing, and a hybrid configuration in the harshest climates, guarantee comfort in every season.

Is it worth pairing a heat pump with solar PV? +

It is the most efficient combination: rooftop energy powers heating, cooling and hot water, with a storage system extending self-consumption into the evening. It is also the configuration receiving the highest support under the 2026 Abruzzo Region scheme for those replacing a biomass or oil boiler.

What incentives exist for replacing an old boiler? +

Italy’s Conto Termico 3.0 scheme (GSE) supports replacing winter heating systems with heat pumps, hybrid systems and certified biomass generators. In Abruzzo, from 15 September 2026, an additional regional grant covers up to 100% of eligible costs for those replacing a biomass or oil boiler. New Energy checks eligibility free of charge and handles the paperwork.

Is a heat pump noisy? +

Latest-generation outdoor units are designed to run quietly; the choice of position and model, made during the survey, avoids any nuisance for your home and your neighbours.

One system for both heating and cooling? +

Yes: a heat pump heats in winter, cools in summer and can produce domestic hot water all year round, with a single control system and a single maintenance contract.
